VisiPick

The VisiPick software, developed by Profilocolore, allows performing colorimetric calibrations with operating modes that are easy and quick to understand.
VisiPick allows the creation of high resolution images containing for each pixel spectral reflectance measurements acquired in the range between 400 and 700 nanometers, with a colorimetric precision lower than DeltaE = 2.

The versatility of the system is represented by the extreme ease of image acquisition, obtainable through the use of any device, such as smartphones, commercial cameras and modified cameras combined with a PFCL-A optical filter.

The only two precautions consist in acquiring the images under the same display conditions and in inserting a ColorChecker within at least one of the photographed scenes.

VisiPick supports several types of input formats, including TIFF and RAW formats from Nikon (.NEF), Hasselblad (.FFF), PhaseOne (.IQ4) and Canon (.CR2). For maximum color accuracy, the use of RAW format or an uncompressed format, such as 16-bit TIFF format, is recommended.

The software also allows to choose not only the output format of the calibrated images (8-bit TIFF, 16-bit TIFF, 8-bit PNG, 16-bit PNG, JPG), but also the type of illuminant (D65, D50, etc.), the space color (AdobeRGB, sRGB, etc.) and the Color Matching Functions (CIE31 – standard observer at 2°, CIE 64 – standard observer at 10°).

The system is therefore completely standard and the results obtained can be interfaced with any other commercial software.
