VisiPick is a colorimetric calibration system that allows the creation of images in the visible spectrum with standard cameras.

È indipendente dalla tipologia e dalla risoluzione della fotocamera utilizzata, le immagini, ad alta risoluzione e contenenti per ogni pixel misure di riflettanza spettrale acquisite nel range tra i 400 e i 700 nanometri, hanno precisione colorimetrica nell’ordine di dE2000 < 2 e l’utente ha ampia scelta dell’illuminante sotto cui le immagini vengono rese, dello spazio colore, e del formato dei file.

Images are calibrated in batches, and the entire process, from shooting to final product, is extremely fast and streamlined. The images produced are in standard formats (TIFF, PNG, JPEG) and contain the selected standard color space.

How it works

The versatility of the system is demonstrated by the extreme ease of image acquisition, which can be obtained using any any device, such as smartphones, commercial cameras, and modified cameras. The only two precautions are to capture images under the same exposure conditions and to include a ColorChecker into at least one of the photographed scenes.

VisiPicksupports various input formats, including TIFF and RAW formats from Fujifilm (.RAF), Nikon (.NEF), Hasselblad (.FFF), PhaseOne (.IQ4), and Canon (.CR2). For maximum color accuracy, we recommend using the RAW format or an uncompressed format, such as 16-bit TIFF.

The software also allows the user tochoosenot onlythe output format ofthe calibrated images (8-bit and 16-bit TIFF, 8-bit and 16-bit PNG, JPG), but also the type ofilluminant(D65, D50, etc.), thecolor space(AdobeRGB, sRGB, etc.), and theColorMatching Function (CIE31 – standard observer at 2°, CIE64 – standard observer at 10°). etc.) and theColor Matching Function(CIE31 – standard observer at 2°, CIE64 – standard observer at 10°).

The system is therefore completelystandard, and the results obtainedcan be interfaced with any other commercial software.
